In the realm of roof or architectural glazing projects, the principle of superposition akin to quantum theory unveils a profound analogy. Much like quantum systems, a properly designed architectural feature can exist in multiple potential states or configurations, each carrying distinct probabilities of success or failure. Seasoned professionals can enhance the chances of success and reduce the risk of early wear or functional issues by skillfully adjusting these design features that influence the project's performance and durability.
About
Juan Jasso entered the field of construction in 1996. His passion for working with mechanical and structural systems led him to return to college and attend the Colorado School of Mines. Upon completing a B.S. in Engineering, he spent several years working as a mechanical design engineer.
Some of the projects that Juan had the opportunity to work on include the redesign and development of the drive system for a small diameter tunnel boring machine, high-temp industrial furnaces used by manufacturers, universities, government research facilities and R&D labs, as well as fall safety equipment which is used in the construction and oil & gas industries. Through his cross-functional training in the development and troubleshooting of static and dynamic mechanical systems, Juan developed a keen understanding of the importance of recognizing fundamental design characteristics that can lead to a system’s success or failure. This has a direct application to performance when it comes to optimization of both project development and deliverables.
Juan was employed by Horn Brothers Roofing between 1999 and 2002, and has maintained a working relationship with the team over the years. In the last 25 years his direct involvement with company activities include installations, repairs, jobsite supervision, permits & inspections related responsibilities, project estimating, and sales. Juan gave shape to Quantum Nexus Construction in 2014 (formerly Quantum Home Solutions) and has provided products and services in the roofing and daylighting industries ever since. As a continuation of his work in the building envelope industy, Quantum Daylite Solutions is designed to present customers with a turnkey approach, no matter the size of the project.
